Global Time Attack Super Lap Battle 2014 | Buttonwillow | Teasers
Just started an awesome 3-tracks-in-3-days weekend and kicked it off with Super Lap Battle by Global Time Attack at Buttonwillow. Tomorrow we hit Minter Airfield in Shafter, CA and then Willow Springs International Raceway in Rosamond, CA to complete the weekend. Global Lap Battle is an event I always look forward to since I went to my first one back in 2011. It’s an awesome time-attack that brings over some shops, cars, teams, and drivers from near and far to put down the fastest lap-time in their class. This event gathers local and international talent to Buttonwillow, California, about 2-hours north of Los Angeles, for a full day of action and excitement.
Since we’ll be covering the No Fly Zone event 2 hours away at Minter Airfield bright and early tomorrow morning, we didn’t have much time to edit and post more photos from today’s event, but here are a few teasers so you know what’s in store.
Pleasantly surprised to see a Mitsubishi Starion competing. Definitely not something you see every day.
Professional Formula Drift driver Dai Yoshihara behind the wheel of the Go Tuning Unlimited Spoon Sports FD2.
Fortune Auto 2JZ-swapped Lexus IS300 or Altezza looking real mean.
GST Motorsports new track record holder with a blazing time of 1:38.9 CW13! Big congrats to them!
The Maxxis Tire SEMA car that last years Super Lap Battle Limited Class winner Platte Forme ag built.
We have lots more photos to go through and share and we’ll try not to keep you waiting too long.
