Formula Drift Irwindale | Final Fight | Teasers from Qualifying
Formula Drift returns to Los Angeles for Round 7 of the championship series to the House of Drift at the Toyota Speedway in Irwindale, CA. And, as always, it doesn’t disappoint with drama and action.
We were there today for the practice and qualifying sessions to capture action on and off the track and was beyond excited to be back out there shooting these professional drivers. Here’s some of the highlights from Friday at the House of Drift!
Really awesome to see this S2000 in person and in action. It’s not your typical drift chassis but they made it work and it looked great.
Ryan Tuerck’s 2JZ FR-S always looks so photogenic!
Dai Yoshihara looking stronger and stronger with every lap put down.
Another 2JZ-powered car in the sea of v8-swapped machines.
Our good friend Ken Gushi getting things sorted out in his 2-JZ powered Greddy x Hankook x Scion FR-S.
The Norwegian Hammer.
The Super Street Network booth in the vendor area.
The first RS1 FR-S sold in the US that belongs to Young Tea from FRS86 x Auto Tuned. Their shop is probably a 1-minute drive from Irwindale Speedway, which is super local from the track.
Chelsea Denofa with engine troubles.
Can’t be at the competition in person tomorrow? No worries because you can watch everything live from their website at http://www.formulad.com/live/ Be sure to check out www.formulad.com for more info and updates.
Hope you enjoyed the teasers from our day at Toyota Speedway for the final round of the Formula Drift series. We will have more photos to come so be sure to stay tuned!
