Tuners & Tea | Guppy House | West Covina
Last Saturday, Guppy House in West Covina hosted their second Tuners & Tea meet. With the help of Dayuum, Purist Group, Tjin Edition and a handful of others, hardcore car enthusiasts who weren’t too scared of a little rare rain in So Cal came out to hang out and shoot the breeze with others.
If you missed out last month, here’s our coverage of the first Tuners & Tea event (http://jdmzipties.com/2014/01/05/tuners-tea-guppy-tea-house-west-covina/)
Denny from Dayuum on Instagram straight flexing in front of a pretty cool RHD Honda Prelude. You don’t see those very often.
Love seeing older cars like this Toyota Starlet that is in amazing shape. It’s also supercharged.
One of the best things about Tuners & Tea is that you see a lot of car guys (and car girls) bring the family to enjoy. There’s good music, good food, and lots to see. This little one was ready for puddles in his boots.
This Subaru BRZ caught my eye and got me scratching my head. It made me think of the “Under Construction” decals Honda guys used to run back in the 90s. Each to their own I suppose.
Awesome Daihatsu HiJet microvan in attendance.
Very clean and simple Toyota MR2.
Godzilla cruising by.
This 1970s Plymouth Scamp was powered by a fancy 2JZ. Really wish we had some video of it.
More old school love with this Mazda Rx-3 that came out of no where. I was a big fan of this one. Super clean and well-maintained.
Some AWD enthusiasts came to show their support.
That’s it for now. Hopefully Tuners & Tea becomes a monthly meet because of the diverse turn out and so I can get my fix of popcorn chicken from Guppy House. Hope you enjoyed the photos and don’t miss out on the next one!
